Fuck your counterdependency. I'm over it.
We get it: you're "Stoic," so cool and calm, unflappable, relationally detached, emotionally agentic. Nobody can feel you, you feel everyone, and you don't need anyone.
Define "need," asshole. What do you mean you don't need anyone? What kind of premise is that? Yes, of course, don’t be "needy," which is to say pathetically reliant on others. Yet, cultivating the impression that you don't need anyone is absolute bullshit. It's also outright manipulation, seducing others to feel compelled to need you. This social strategy is crack for co-dependents, by the way.
Stop this lie. Get over yourself. Embrace your fragility, your inadequacy, your reliance on others! Denying this surrender is so foolish, bro…
Okay, but I understand. I've been too harsh on you. It’s just frustrating being manipulated in subtle, hard-to-detect ways. You’ve been manipulated, too. Emotionally, at a young age, you built up sophisticated defenses that protected you. You’re constantly protecting yourself from emotional manipulation, which, in a messed-up way, made you unconsciously manipulative.
I forgive you. Hopefully, others will as well. And to be charitable, your disposition is true; nobody needs anyone. We choose to need each other.
