Leader Hunger
Hey beautiful people,
I was recently on The Golden Shadow podcast. The hotties who host the podcast, Arran Rogerson and Alyssa Polizzi, discuss some of my dreams, one of which Jordan Peterson helped me understand. Arran and Alyssa host a weekly “Shadowplay” session in our wisdom gym, which is worth checking out if you got some shadow work to do.
Tomorrow’s events:
Stoic Breath: Sunrise Edition w/ Steve Beattie. Every Monday @ 6:15 AM ET.RSVP here.
Stoic Hustle: Brain.fm Edition w/ Peter Limberg. January 25th @ 6:30 AM ET. Patreon event. 5 hours.*
A Facebook Banishment: The Game B Exodus w/ Jim Rutt. January 25th @ 12:00 PM ET. RSVP here.
The Bridge: Deep-Dives W/ Evan McMullen. January 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th @ 5:00 PM ET. RSVP here. 90 mins.
*Please watch the 10 to 17 min segment of this video if you’d like to attend the hustle tomorrow. It’s pretty early in the day, so I might be the only daemonic madman in the Zoom room. It will be a nice and intimate hustle.

We had a good first session for Patreon members only today. The session was in service to figuring out The Stoa’s potential. It started off with me having a discussion with Bonnitta Roy, Ria Baeck, and Raine Revere, followed by break-out rooms.
Bonnitta, Ria, Raine, and I debriefed afterward, and Bonnitta said something interesting: people are looking for a leader, which is why there are many things being projected on me. My coinage game never misses an opportunity like this, and the following term emerged from my lips: leader hunger.
This feels right. There does seem to be a leader hunger out there. Somebody who can bring us to the promised land. I used to have this, but I stopped having this. I stopped having it when I stopped listening to others, and even stopped listening to myself, and started to listen to something else.
Yes. I do have leadership qualities and proclivities, and I am at the helm of The Stoa, leading it to the Maybe the End of The Stoa Party, and perhaps beyond, but I do not want my role to be some grand leader beyond that.
Bonnitta also said that people are not only looking for leaders in others, but also the leader in themselves. I really like that. Perhaps the right leadership move for me is this: lead in such a way that leads others to discover the leader within.
