After her workout yesterday Camille was resting, sweatily. I could not help myself, I had to lick that sweat. No inch was denied. Time stopped pretending it existed and for some time we had no minds. A mind is not needed when two bodies have a mind of their own.
I want to make love. Sometimes crudely, other times gently. At times, when there is no felt-sense of time, I want to make love with a beastly wildness. One that I can barely tame. One that flirtatiously invites me to domesticate it, with a wink that conveys I never fully can. Is my Dionysian side playing the bait and switch already? Nice try. You kinky motherfucker.
Luckily I am a Stoic, and it is not wise to fuck with a Stoic. But this Stoic wants to make love, in the right way, and making love in the right way can be dangerous. Love is dangerous, and so is real philosophy. If we want to be live players we need to make love, and stop pretending to make love. It is time to turn off the love stories that promise us guarantees, and it is time to risk being dangerous. We cannot go back to the world we thought we had.
Philosophia, the love of wisdom, is about making love with reality. We do not want to fuck with reality, because that is not what philosophy is about. But of course, in order to make love with reality, you need to have the capacity to fuck it. People are fucking with reality, without any love. There is evil in this world, and it is time we become reminded of this reality. But let us save that discussion for another time.
We are in a meta-crisis, and our ever-present existential risks are not going to go away, regardless of how much fantasy we consume. Do you want a cult or do you want communitas? The former is where you will find a guarantee, the latter is where we will find a home. Our choice is also a collective one, so let us choose wisely.
My inner Coyote wants to be predictably unpredictable. It wants you to stay sharp. It greatly enjoys your annoyance. There is no time to sink into comfortable compliancy. A new world is asking to be born, and it needs some serious midwifery. It is time to throw out those nihilistic black pills for good. The void is always going to be here, but so fucking what? You are not going to find beauty staring into it with a dumbstruck gaze.
Get your eyes on the ball. There is a metagame to play, a culture to steal and seduce. It is time to make love, like a wild animal, that can never be fully domesticated. Trust me, they will try to domesticate us. They have been trying to domesticate us our entire lives.
But it is not going to happen. Not on our watch.
