I stayed up until 5 am, talking to my wife. My sense is that I am closer to getting into the right relationship with the feminine, but I am not quite there yet. I want to fully accept her darkness, her wildness, her aliveness. We will not start a new world if there are no philosopher queens, and a queen sometimes needs to be free to be one bad bitch.
It is time for this spiritual beta male to become a spiritual alpha male, it is time for this boy king to become a man. This kingdom is not in service to power, pleasure, or ego. No. This kingdom only has one master, and that is virtue. Without virtue, there is no chance of beauty, and this man has heard the music, and he is not going to be shy about what he wants anymore.
In order to be virtuous, you need to sacrifice fantasy, as my good therapist told me. With this sacrifice, you have a chance to see reality, and the reality is that you find beauty in connection, in community, in communitas. This gives birth to a culture. We currently do not have a culture, we have a cult. A cult of control, of fear, ruled by developmentally stunted sociopathic boy kings.
We do not win the culture by warring with propositional memes in service to ego. Oh no, my friends, that is a losing game. My dear brother Alexander Bard came to The Stoa yesterday. I love love love him. How was I so blind, that I did not see his genius before? A trickster plays the long game. I have a lot to learn, and so do all of us Stoics.
It is time for us Stoics to stop taking ourselves so seriously, and have a little bit of the trickster in us. If we are going to steal this thing, we will need to have a few tricks up our sleeves. In the liminal war, everything is up for grabs, and the stakes are high. It is time for us to play, seriously. The age of embodied tribes can be near, and this will be an age of beauty.
A.J. messaged me, saying that he would love to have a get together in person with all the delicious weirdos in The Stoa, after this is all done. Yeah, I sense we will, my friend. We will party. Hard. With laughter and love. Existentially dancing around the bonfire, without shame. While we freestyle rap, philosophize, and cry. We will not be afraid of our tears anymore, because tears are fucking beautiful.
A good Stoic is ready to fight for those tears, and will gladly die for beauty, when Rome falls.
